Seven POBJFKHS Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School is proud to announce that seniors Harsham Dugar, Daniel Jung, Surya Krishnan, Aiden Noh, Taniya Raipatriwar, Emily Xi and Allison Zhou have been named Semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Competition.
Approximately 1.5 million students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program each year. The seven POBJFKHS students are among approximately 16,000 students nationwide who have been named Semifinalists and advanced to the next stage of the competition. They will now have the opportunity to compete for more than 6,800 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $26 million.
The District is proud to recognize these seven outstanding students for their remarkable achievement.
